Ilkley Speech Therapy was founded by Laura Ramsden. I qualified with a BA (Hons) in Sociolinguistics and English Language. I then went on to qualify with a BSc (Hons) in Clinical Language Sciences (Speech and Language Therapy).
I currently work as a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist within the NHS. Over the past 10 years I've worked with adults with different neurological conditions in hospitals, nursing homes, and in their own homes. My area of specialism is treating adults with communication and swallowing difficulties following a stroke.
I am a member of The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice.
I have experience of counselling whilst at Lancaster University I volunteered for Nightline a counselling service for students.
I live in Ilkley and in my spare time I enjoy hiking, windsurfing, spending time with family and friends.
